Every time I ask a question here I only get like 1-3 answers. I feel like there are a lot of people asking but not enough answering. Is there another website where I can go?

I’m just asking. I know a woman who has her cake and eats it too and she was giving me some advice on men. (Don’t let them live off of you.) Some what turning a deaf ear to her.

Instead of somewhat turning a deaf ear you need to turn and run! Seriously……some women are okay with this but Id be willing to bet that the vast majority are not. Marriage might not be all of what it used to be but to a lot its still sacred. One woman one man. Having cake and eating it too might seem appealing but I often wonder if its really working for that person doing it..if they are really enjoying it…..wonder too if there are underlying issues within that person. I dunno……but I have been in your place before and while I liked the particular person and considered her a friend it was hard for me to sit and listen to her as well have her try to advise me on relationships.
My answer…nope I wouldn’t trust or take advice from her.

The ones I have found coming up in yahoo searches are very non active. Just looking to see if anyone has any suggestions. I like to give and receive advice and also a forum with an active general discussion or off topic area for community banter would be nice. In the past I have found some of the best forums by word of mouth, rarely do the best ones come up in yahoo searches.

And I NEVER bother with anyones answer where they are like 25 years old and been married for like two years…….I don’t think most people have a clue until they are at least 30………that’s just me…..

i am planning to transfer to my boyfriend’s college because he can’t transfer to mine, they don’t offer his major. we’ve been dating for two and a half years and the long distance relationship is new and it’s breaking my heart. the people closest to me have told me if it’s meant to be it will work out no matter the distance but i hate being so far away.

If you are a freshmen this year, just wait it out until the end of the year and see where the relationship goes. You love him, yes, but college is also the time to find yourself and make lifelong friends. Your relationship will make if it’s strong. You don’t want to change everything for a boy. If you have been apart for longer than that, I think you could consider transferring since you have given it a good shot and it’s still so difficult to be away from each other. Good luck to you!

most people give advice based on their personal experience. Some will tell you things you don’t want to hear but keep in mind, just because you don’t like what they tell you doesn’t necessarily make it any less true. Some are more gentle than others in telling you a hard truth.

keep your question focused on what it is you want to know. don’t put up a lot of unnecessary details but do remember to put in the important details.

depending on the day of the week and the time of the day, you’ll run into more immature answers on singles and dating than you will in marriage and divorce. This is why a lot of older singles or more serious minded younger singles will ask their questions there instead of here.

on Y!A, you will encounter many different people w/ different experiences who don’t know you and are more likely to be honest w/ you in what they tell you. your friends meanwhile may not have the experience you need to have your answers or they may be trying to soothe your ego and not tell you something that they think might hurt your feelings. Sometimes you need tough love instead of a lot of a back patting or blunt honesty instead of white lies. You’ll get that here.
