I use the "sleeping under my desk" technique. When that fails I use Yahoo Answers.

Yes. The book that has been recommended countless times, and has been used for ages is the Bible.
The Psalms and the Proverbs, Song of Solomon, and Ecclesiastes are excellent meditations.
When you wish to find that quiet, private moment of peace, read a Psalm. Or read a Proverb.
Those passages have been calming frazzled nerves for thousands of years.

Just make the work you do worthwhile by thinking you are performing it for the benefit of others. If you just do it for the money, then use the money to care for yourself and your family. It’s all in the motivation. It doesn’t get any simpler than that. Besides, one good book deserves another and then another.
