Meditation Techniques – What are the Physiological Effects of Deep Meditation?

One of my friends is a lifelong practitioner of pranic meditation.

1. Lower blood pressure
2. Lower pulse rate (relaxed state)
3. Higher mental clarity (mood enhancer)
4. General well being (positive mental state & physical energy)

Meditation techniques can involve deep breathing, focusing on a still object like a candle flame or flower, or guided visualization to relax the senses and bring in clarity of thought.

You can meditate alone or with the help of a spiritual teacher.
